some films....

...we've seen as of late:..I'd been dying to see Brad Pitt as Jesse James...I have to say, I didn't know much about the Jesse James story before I saw this and expected a lot more action...it was a pretty slow-moving story, inevitable ending...but some of the shots had gorgeous lighting...just gorgeous...=) and Brad pitt, come on! it was fab, I thought...Z slept through most of it...lol...After it was over, I was pretty mad at both Jesse James and Robert Ford for the way things went down....

And last night, we realized cheap movie Tuesday also means cheap movie double features at our local theatre: 2 movies for $4 on the big screen!! duuude..we're all over that! We saw the "I Am Legend" and "Walk Hard" double feature...

...and I have to say, before I sat down in the theatre to watch this, I had no idea it was scary..I thought it was a normal ol Will smith shoot em up...geesh, was I wrong! Edge of my seat the whole time! Zombie people and scary mannequins....it was freakishly scary in a realistic way, but it was awesome...=) I'm not a big fan of 3D animated people, though...not if they look blatantly 3D, which they did. Also, dying to see "The Darjeeling Limited" and "Rocket Science"...only now am I realizing how crazy about movies we are...lol...

Sorry, no scrappy stuff today..mostly cuz my internet is slow and I don't feel like waiting for uploads...=) he he....applying for jobs, printing portfolios, going for walks on the beach, scrapbooking, planning the next film project, hitting the library (so, so happy I have time to read novels again!)....wanting to spread out into interior design or graphic design...wanting to start my own paper business...lol...there's too many cool options, man, It's hard for me to stick to one career choice, it seems...=) That's all that's in my head today! Hope all is well!

All films that I have really wanted to see! I will be adding them to my Netflix because, sadly, I haven't been able to see a movie in the theatres since Without A Paddle. Not having easy access to babysitters really SUCKS!

Point on for both of those. Maybe it is the scrap eye for color but I was blown away by some of the shots in Jesse James...towards the middle/end I really remember thinking "wow...if only I had the vid skills to do what I love to do with film (well, digital now) still photography." And Legend...I knew it wasn't a traditional Will Smith gig--as in funny. But I LOVED Pursuit of Happyness and him being serious so I gave it a go. Now...I love me some Will Smith but yeah...freaky mannequin people...and the sappy happy ending? Come on now...that SUV was awfully clean rolling up to the gate after driving through warmed over H, E double hockey sticks. I'm just saying...

I was disappointed by I Am Legend, but because I thought it was going to be a typical Wil Smith is gonna kick much ass with his silly charm and rock hard abs. If I had known it would be (without being a spoiler) the movie it was, I would have better prepared myself! LOL.
